In Fragments Of Us, Chidera runs a food stall with her mother Mama to support her teenage daughter Onyinye, who needs WAEC exam fees they cannot afford. Fifteen years earlier Chidera was impregnated by Benjamin, who left for studies abroad unaware she kept the child. Now a successful realtor and lawyer married to Jacinta, Benjamin's car breaks down near Onyinye's roadside study spot and they bond over biology, leading him to track down Mama's market stall where she bluntly confirms he is Onyinye's father.
