Crossed Paths

Ebuka receives his younger sister Precious into his home after she secures a personal assistant role she did not expect. Sarah runs the business she built from nothing after losing her mother and sibling, guided by her boss Adizua Okoroafor who treats her like family. In Crossed Paths a parking lot dispute brings them together in anger, and the friction repeats at Ebuka's doorstep where Sarah arrives for a therapy follow-up with Dr. Harriet Akinola. The doctor treats them both though neither knows the other sits in her chair. Sarah realizes Precious is Ebuka's sister and the argument that follows ends with Precious tumbling down the stairs, leaving Sarah shaken and Ebuka furious. Boladi returns to invoke a contractual engagement her father drafted, threatening to seize Ebuka's assets if he refuses to marry her. She storms Sarah's office and humiliates her in front of staff, and Ebuka tells Dr. Akinola about the coercion that bound him to Boladi and the trauma that made him sign. Sarah collapses from exhaustion at work and lands in the hospital, where Ebuka clashes with Adizua over who failed to protect her, revealing how deeply he cares. Boladi admits at a tense dinner that she activated the clause out of spite, not love, but claims Sarah's cutting words changed her heart. Ebuka, Sarah, and Precious reject Boladi together, and she leaves without a fight. Freed from the arrangement, Ebuka confesses his love to Sarah over a romantic dinner and chooses her over the security of his inheritance. He moves into a modest place, but Sarah insists he and Precious move into her spacious house instead. The film closes with the three of them laughing over a meal as they discuss wedding plans, while Dr. Akinola watches their progress with quiet satisfaction.
