In Clash Of Emotions, Dr. Harold, a retired surgeon living alone in a luxurious Lagos home, battles boredom and hypertension until his daughter Jessica, a busy businesswoman, hires Vivian, an orphaned chef who runs a small restaurant, to cook and care for him. Vivian arrives early each day, enforces a strict vegetable-based diet, and compels Harold to take daily walks, gradually transforming his health and spirits. As they share meals, conversations, and playful TikTok challenges, a genuine companionship blossoms. Harold confesses his affection, and Vivian, though initially hesitant, agrees to stay the night, marking the start of a tender late-life romance. The harmony shatters when Jessica returns from a work trip and discovers her father embracing Vivian. Furious, she denounces Vivian as a gold digger and demands she leave. Meanwhile, Vivian's possessive ex-boyfriend Benson lures her to his room under the pretense of illness, forcibly kisses her, and records the encounter. Jessica obtains an edited version of the video from Benson, which makes it appear Vivian betrayed Harold. Confronted with the fabricated evidence, a heartbroken Harold banishes Vivian from the house, refusing to hear her explanation. Vivian departs in tears, her reputation and her relationship with Harold seemingly destroyed. Jessica later visits her estranged mother and stumbles upon Benson emerging shirtless from her bedroom, revealing her mother is dating Vivian's ex. Simultaneously, Jessica receives the full, unedited video showing Vivian resisting Benson and fleeing the room. Realizing she orchestrated the trap by feeding Harold the doctored footage, Jessica rushes to Vivian's market stall, apologizes profusely, and begs her to return. Vivian, devastated by Harold's rejection, initially refuses but relents when Jessica admits full responsibility and pleads that Harold's health is deteriorating without her.
