Blind Fury

The film opens with Douglass surprising his wife Zuri on her birthday and the couple sharing tender moments before a title card announces Blind Fury. They discuss birthday plans and the possibility of starting a family, leading to a decision to remove Zuri's IUD. Meanwhile Douglass's friend Matthew faces a marital intervention orchestrated by his brother Chris and their friend Woye who confront him about his wife's dangerous behavior. Douglass meets Eva at a restaurant after defending her from a persistent suitor and they exchange numbers and form a connection that later complicates his marriage. The affair deepens and Eva becomes pregnant. Zuri discovers the betrayal and confronts Douglass, triggering a violent drunken episode where he forces himself on her. She fights him off, packs a bag, and leaves the marital home. Matthew's wife reaches a breaking point and calls the police to have him removed after he violates her boundaries. Eva visits Douglass at his office but he remains emotionally torn. Zuri begins therapy and recounts a vivid dream of pushing an abusive man to the ground, which signals her growing resolve to reclaim her agency. Eva suffers pregnancy complications and confronts Douglass in the shower, revealing she saw him with another woman at a bar. Douglass rushes her to the hospital and in a raw conversation admits he still loves Zuri. Eva accepts his honesty and acknowledges his devotion to his wife and prepares to leave. Douglass later tells Zuri he misses her and their life together but insists he cannot move back immediately and promises to support her and their child while she heals alone. Weeks later Douglass and Zuri meet at a restaurant for a planned encounter. He confesses he lied about having another meeting just to see her sooner and pours out his regret and desire to return home. Zuri, tearful, apologizes for her part in their near destruction and asks for another chance, and Douglass embraces her.
