April's Miracle

April lives with her brother Tali, frequently bringing home one-night stands. One morning, a man leaves her bedroom and jokes with Tali, who mentions his friend Obiajulu (Obi) will move in after his grandmother's death. Obi arrives and quickly sees past April's promiscuity to her hidden sadness. She has a doctor's appointment revealing a relapse of acute myeloid leukemia, which she hides from everyone. Despite her behavior, Obi falls in love with her. He confronts her about her lifestyle, and she admits her fear of intimacy stems from her illness. He confesses his love, and they begin a relationship. April becomes pregnant, but the doctor warns the pregnancy complicates her treatment. She confides in her friend Daniel, begging him not to tell Obi. They make a bucket list and share happy moments, but her health declines. On the day of her book launch, she faints and is rushed to the hospital, where Obi learns about her illness. In the hospital, April's condition worsens. She insists on saving the baby even if it means risking her own life. Doctors perform surgery to deliver the baby prematurely. Although the delivery succeeds, April's body fails. She dies with Obi and Daniel by her side. Devastated, Obi finds solace in their newborn daughter, whom he names after April. Months later, Obi plays with their daughter on a beach, carrying her on his shoulders into the sunset. The credits reveal that April's book was published and donated to orphanages, fulfilling her dream.
