In Alan Poser, Chibuzor deceives women by charming them into hotels with the excuse that his house is being fumigated, then slipping out before sunrise without paying the bill. One morning he leaves a woman stranded at the desk, and she has no way to pay for the room. He repeats the trick on others, including Baby, who spots the pattern after a night together, and Rickey, who loses 100,000 Naira to him. When the women demand their money back, Chibuzor tells anyone who will listen that he does not know them. He calls them prostitutes and walks away, and he keeps at the routine until his victims start surfacing in the same places he moves through. The trouble begins when Chibuzor unknowingly rents a room in the same compound where Baby and Rickey live. The neighbourhood erupts into insults as his victims corner him in the corridors and trade accusations. Rickey makes things worse by confiscating a car he borrowed, because he cannot repay what he owes her. The vehicle's owner sends a bailiff to his door to negotiate terms. Around this time, Erika appears, a traveller who has just learned that her entire savings vanished when her visa agent, a man named Steve, ran off to Italy. With nowhere to sleep after her eviction, she accepts Chibuzor's offer to stay with him, and the two try to untangle their separate messes under the same roof. The friction between them grows as Erika lashes out at Chibuzor, criticising how he cheats women. Chibuzor absorbs the criticism and apologises for his past, including leaving the woman at the hotel. Erika also faces a harsh confrontation when a man comes to force her off her property, and she ends up with nowhere to turn. Moved by her situation, Chibuzor reaches out to his contacts in Italy to pressure Steve's family and recover what he can of her money. He also vows to give up scamming, and Erika responds by lining up a job lead for him at a tech firm.
