Susan builds a life with Lotanna, but a devastating car accident leaves her paralyzed and causes her to lose her unborn child. Lotanna becomes her devoted caregiver, their marriage strained but intact. Somto returns suddenly, claiming remorse. Susan readily forgives her, but Lotanna remains wary. Somto begins seducing him, and they start an affair behind Susan’s back. She asks Susan for a large loan, which Susan cannot provide, so Somto gets money from another man. Lotanna’s friend Mark arranges couples therapy, where the therapist urges honesty. Somto’s actions grow bolder—she propositions Lotanna in Susan’s bed while Susan is at the hospital. The affair is exposed when Somto announces she is pregnant with Lotanna’s child. Susan confronts her sister, and Somto reveals her long-held resentment: she loved Lotanna first and felt robbed. Lotanna tries to leave, but Susan begs him to stay. In therapy, the couple confronts their betrayal. Lotanna kneels and begs for forgiveness. The therapist counsels them to heal and reclaim the present. After emotional turmoil, Susan decides to give their marriage a second chance.
