A Night With You

Stephanie, a sharp app developer, is driving home one rainy night when her headlights catch a man stumbling into the road. The impact sends him sprawling, and though she rushes him to a hospital, the doctor refuses admittance without ID. Desperate and guilty, she brings the unconscious man to her own house, bandages his injuries, and stashes his phone in a drawer, claiming it's at a repair shop. The man—Fredrick George—wakes with no memory of his name, his family, or the wedding he left behind. Days pass, and Stephanie tends to him with a mix of tenderness and possession. Fredrick starts to trust her, even as his fiancée Eno lands in Lagos, plastering missing person flyers across every streetlight. Nosy neighbour Abbey spots the flyers, then connects the face to the strange man he glimpsed through Stephanie's window. Meanwhile, Fredrick finds his phone in Stephanie's closet and confronts her; she snaps, shoves him into the same closet, and tapes his mouth shut. Eno, desperate, contacts a doctor friend who mentions a man named Bunjam has died—wrong trail, but a spark of dread. Aunt Caro, Stephanie's relative, visits unannounced and hears a muffled scream. She opens the closet to find Fredrick bound, and her own niece brandishing a knife. Caro pleads, reminding Stephanie of past demons, and eventually Stephanie drops the knife, weeping. Abbey calls Eno, who races to the house as Caro unties Fredrick. The door swings open to Eno's face, pale with shock—and the film ends on that frozen moment, the future uncertain but a rescue finally in motion.
