A Fight For Love

"A Fight For Love" tells the story of Jidenna, a poor mechanic living in a small apartment with his girlfriend Caro who always asks for money. One morning, Jidenna fights with Caro about buying her a wig he promised when drunk. He leaves for work. On the road, a rich guy named Williams with dreadlocks tries to flirt with Caro in his fancy Mercedes, but she turns him down, thinking he might be bad or not her type. Jidenna gets a call to fix a broken car. The owner is Martins, his best friend from childhood he lost touch with. Martins is now wealthy, while Jidenna struggles. They hug and talk. Martins pays him well for the small fix and gives his card to stay in touch. Jidenna feels sad about their different lives but happy to see his friend. Martins' sister Nancy comes home from abroad. She meets her boyfriend Williams at a family dinner. Williams acts bossy, saying he wants his wife to stay home and not work. Martins does not like him much but wants Nancy happy. Nancy takes her car to Jidenna's shop for repair. At first, Jidenna is rude because of his mood, but he helps her. Later, Martins gives Nancy Jidenna's number, and she calls him. She tells him she is the little Nancy from their childhood. Jidenna is surprised. They meet, and old sparks fly. Nancy likes Jidenna and does not mind he is poor, but Jidenna feels bad dating his rich friend's sister. Trouble starts when Martins learns about Jidenna and Nancy. He goes to Jidenna's house angry and offers a lot of money to leave Nancy alone. Jidenna says no, keeps his pride, and tells Martins to leave. Nancy goes to Jidenna's house to say sorry for her brother and tell him she loves him no matter what. They play cards and share a sweet moment. In the end, Martins comes back to Jidenna's house. He says sorry for being proud. He remembers Jidenna saved his life as kids by taking a knife stab in a fight. Martins blesses their relationship and gives money not as bribe but to help Jidenna's business.
