EARLY LIFE

Ifeanyi Kalu, born Ifeanyi Ikechukwu Kalu on February 13, 1988, at Havannah Hospital in Surulere, Lagos State, Nigeria, is of Igbo descent from Nwangele Local Government Area in Imo State. He was raised in a Christian family of seven, as the youngest of five children and the only son, with four sisters including Onyeka Kalu (a commercial model, entrepreneur, and cake baker who is married with children) and Chika Kalu (an artist, creative director at Kayniel Clothing, actress known for Busted in 2018, and described as a tomboy with tattoos). His father, Emmanuel Gilbert Kalu, is deceased, while his mother, Mrs. Kalu, is alive. He attended primary and secondary school, participating in drama clubs, before graduating with a degree in Computer Science from Lagos State University. He later studied acting at the Royal Arts Academy in 2011 and fashion designing at Zaris Fashion and Style Academy

Ifeanyi Kalu began his career as a commercial model, appearing in television and billboard ads for brands like Shirtfreak, before transitioning to acting after training at the Royal Arts Academy in 2011. Ifeanyi Kalu married Nicolette Ndigwe-Kalu, a Nollywood filmmaker, producer, actress, screenwriter, poet, and entrepreneur from Awka, Anambra State (born April 28, 1992, in Enugu; graduate of University of Nigeria, Nsukka; attended Federal Government Girls College, Onitsha; daughter of politicians Mr. Ndigwe Buchi and Mrs. Ndigwe; has a brother, Kobis Lyroy Ndigwe, an actor and artist), in 2021. Their traditional marriage was on December 30, 2021, in Awka, followed by a white wedding on January 8, 2022. They have one daughter, born in August 2023. He is straight, has tattoos on his arms and body, and stands at 5 feet 10 inches tall. His interests include acting, fashion designing, modeling, and compering. He resides in Lagos and drives luxury cars. No prior relationships or controversies are mentioned, and he is not related to actors Kalu Ikeagwu or Joyce Kalu despite similarities.
