Yinka, a pharmacist at Drugs 'N' More, supplements her income by selling fake hair growth serums and weight loss pills under the casual oath 'I swear to God.' In the fantasy comedy 'I Swear To God,' Heaven finally tires of her deceit and dispatches an angel to offer a path to redemption: confess five specific sins. With no alternative, Yinka first admits to Mrs. Koka that the anti-cheating sweetener is merely honey and herbs, sparking a furious altercation. Next, she reveals to her uncle Dapo that she faked asthma and diabetes for years to swindle money from him, and his response is swift eviction, leaving her suddenly homeless. Forced to crash with her neighbor Big Bookie, Yinka’s fragile shelter collapses when she comes clean about the fake weight loss supplement, ending that friendship in bitter disappointment. Desperate to meet the angel’s quota, she breaks up with Tayo, confessing she never loved him and was only using his affection, which plunges him into deep hurt. Her final confession targets her best friend and business partner, Ada, where she tearfully admits to embezzling from their joint venture over two years. Ada shocks her by revealing she already knew and had been waiting, choosing to forgive with a gentle reminder that honesty matters more than the money.
