When Moremi Falls

The movie When Moremi Falls follows Moremi Bello, a rich and powerful businesswoman who is cold and controlling in both work and relationships. She treats men like objects for her pleasure. One night she meets Osas, a handsome younger man, takes him to a hotel, sleeps with him, pays him cash, and leaves without caring about his feelings. The next day, her friend recommends a home hairstylist. When he arrives at her house, Moremi is shocked to see it is Osas. He does her hair professionally and impresses her with his skill and passion. Later, Moremi offers to fund 50% of Osas’s dream salon and find more investors. But she also demands a date and wants him in a transactional relationship. Osas refuses because he has strong principles and will not sell himself for money. Moremi is surprised by his rejection. Moremi realises her cold attitude may have pushed away a good man. She goes to Osas’s apartment to apologise, but sees a woman crying and hugging him. Thinking it is his girlfriend, she leaves heartbroken. Osas later visits Moremi and explains the woman is his ex-fiancée Ese, who left him for a richer man. After her fiancé died in an accident, Osas only let her stay in his guest room out of pity. He tells Moremi he truly likes her and wants a real relationship based on love, not money. Moremi finally drops her guard, apologises, and admits his integrity changed her view on love. They embrace and begin a genuine romance, taking things slowly. The story shows how a powerful woman learns to open her heart to true connection.
