When Gloria Comes

It opens with Gloria drinking alcohol in the back of a car. In voiceover she says she was not a good wife and her ex-husband Obinna was not a good husband. She chose her poison carefully. Then we see the happy family. Snow makes breakfast for Anita and Mario. They are proud of her. Mario wants a private tutor for Snow exams. Their friend Jenny visits and says she wants a child too. Anita comforts her. That night Mario tells Anita his elder sister Gloria will stay with them after her divorce. Anita agrees. When Gloria arrives she puts strict religious rules on everyone. She covers the house in blood of Jesus and tells Anita to cover her hair when cooking. She complains about Snow clothes and food. She wants to buy local soups. Snow tells her mother in a live stream that she feels like a stranger in her own home. One morning Gloria wakes the whole house with a loud bell for prayer. Snow asks her to stop. Gloria gets angry. Mario stops the prayer. Gloria also shouts at tutor Larry for not correcting Snow dressing. The big problem comes when Snow friends Ben and Daria visit to make a dance video. Gloria storms in angry. She beats them with a wooden spatula . Mario and Anita rush out. Mario stops her and sends the friends away. Anita is very angry. She tells Mario Gloria must leave the house. She will not let Snow get hurt. Mario begs for one last talk. He tells Gloria she turned their peaceful home into fear. Everyone walks on eggshells. A flashback shows Obinna finding Gloria drunk. He says he wants divorce. She buried their marriage in alcohol. Gloria thinks about it. She sits with Anita and says her bad behaviour came from fear pain and feeling unlovable after the divorce. Anita listens and suggests therapy. Then Gloria gives a big surprise she is pregnant. She tells Obinna. He is very happy and calls Mario with the good news. Everyone is thrilled. At home Gloria cries and says sorry to Mario and Anita for the pain she caused. She thanks them for their help.
