Until You

In Until You, Rume is a reclusive programmer asleep on his sofa when his best friend Jay calls to ask a favour. Jay has a younger sister, Isoken, who has just been posted to Lagos for her national youth service, and Jay wants Rume to look after her. Isoken is rejected for her primary assignment, so Rume tells her to take a cab to his apartment. She is delighted by his modern, spacious home, and she teases him by calling him roommate and complaining that Lagos is boring, but Rume warns her not to touch anything and insists she is only his best friend's little sister. After Isoken lands a job at a fashion store, she asks Rume to build her stylist website, and their frequent one-on-one sessions make them closer. Priscilla, the woman who jilted Rume at the altar five years earlier, reappears and asks him to hack into her ex-husband's devices to secure child support, but Rume flatly refuses. The encounter leaves Rume moody, and Isoken grows intensely protective and threatens to protect him. Isoken organises a party to match Rume with a beautiful friend, but he arrives hours late and she angrily sends him away. Rume sends an apology note and a necklace to make peace, and Rume and Isoken admit what has been growing between them and become a couple in secret. A surprise visit by Jay catches his friend in bed with Isoken. Jay explodes and demands to know Rume's intentions, so Isoken insists she loves Rume and Rume says he wants to marry her. This calms Jay, who warns them never to break each other's heart and gives the couple his blessing. Jay tells Rume he would rather trust the friend he knows than some unknown man, and Rume reassures Isoken that she is now his number one priority. When a long weekend approaches, Rume suggests a trip to Ghana. Isoken agrees, and the pair embrace as a song plays over the closing credits.
