Under His Roof

In 'UNDER HIS ROOF,' Oga Amos confronts a shop owner over a debt, then learns his daughter Amara is twerking for money at a bar; he drags her home, where she argues about her lifestyle. He later makes a threatening call to a man named Papa Chichi about a loan. Amara, dressed modestly, says she is going to church, but Oga Amos demands to check under her dress, leading to an argument. After confronting Amara and a date with a cutlass and expelling them, he brings in a prophet to deliver her from a spirit. When Amara fights back, he ties her to a tree, leaving her crying while he reflects on his failures. Escaping, Amara embraces Elliot by his SUV, and Oga Amos emerges furiously to confront them. Discovering her pregnancy, she tries to contact Elliot, who does not answer. Her father overhears her telling Elliot about her pregnancy and collapses. Amara rushes him to the hospital, but he doesn't survive it, leaving Amara heartbroken and devastated. Subsequently, during mourning, she holds his picture, crying in front of their house. The next day, she sits in front of a shop and two women criticize her, blaming her for the death of her father. Amara and Elliot arrive at a house with luggage, greeted by a woman. Five months later, Elliot asks her to marry him. They embrace and kiss, signaling a new beginning despite the tragedy and community criticism.
