Heartbroken after JJ ends their relationship and immediately dates another woman, Kate lies listlessly on her sofa until her best friend Stella drags her out, insisting she rejoin the world. At her advertising agency, Kate throws herself into a campaign for Skintel cosmetics, proposing a social-media strategy that wins praise from her boss Mr. Don. Stella's announcement of her engagement to Samuel brings a moment of joy, but a scandal erupts when the Skintel model's old homophobic tweets surface. Spinning the narrative saves the campaign, which earns Kate the trust of senior executive Amir; he entrusts her with a highly confidential pitch for a potential client called Nedutech, warning that failure means her job. This success breeds resentment from colleague John, who mutters about favoritism and plots with Maybelle and intern Udju. Simultaneously, Samuel calls off his engagement, leaving Stella devastated; she lashes out at Kate for being consumed by work and her mysterious boyfriend, and their friendship fractures. Though Kate guards the Nedutech documents carefully, the idea leaks to rival company ECF. Confronted by Amir, she realizes she was sabotaged. An investigation reveals Udju stole the file and passed it to her brother at ECF, with John and Maybelle's help, all hoping to secure jobs there. Kate directly confronts the trio, and Udju confesses. In a meeting with the boss, Kate presents the evidence, and the conspirators are exposed. Calling Kate into his office, the boss informs her that the truth has come out and that Nedutech still wants to work with them. Restored to her position, she is assigned to recruit new, honest staff. Walking out of the office with a measured composure, Kate has weathered the storm.
