EARLY LIFE

Obioma Ofoegbu is a Nigerian actress, producer, and content creator rising steadily in Nollywood. Obioma Ofoegbu was born in 1998 into a family of six. She is an indigene of Imo State and Abuja-based. Her passion for acting began during her time as a student at Veritas University, where she joined the theatre arts group. Her father initially disapproved of her career choice but later became supportive. She has an aunt and cousins already in the Nollywood industry.

PERSONAL LIFE

Obioma is currently single and focused on her career. She describes herself as a “Non Conformist” and a devout Christian She values peace in relationships and has stated she wants a partner who understands the demands of her career and worships the ground she walks on. She keeps her private life very low-key.

CAREER

Obioma Ofoegbu is known for her versatility and compelling performances. She made her acting debut with the YouTube film Zubaida (which addressed VVF and child marriage). She has steadily built a reputation through hard work and talent rather than social media clout, famously stating: “Unnecessary clout is not key to succeed in Nollywood” and “No man can play God over my career.” Notable credits include: The Low Priest (M-Net/Showmax series) – Mgbeke/Mgbeike (village mad woman; one of her most challenging roles, involving daily skin painting and rags) Omo (2023) I Hate Love Stories (2024) Wild Heart (2022) In Her Shoes (2023) She has also produced a comic series featuring talents like Josh2funny (soon to drop on her YouTube channel) and continues to grow as both an actress and producer. She has openly discussed overcoming early stereotypes (being cast as a “spoilt brat” due to her looks) by improving her craft and proving her range. She credits grace, talent, and continuous learning for her progress and says her rates have increased significantly as she has gained industry knowledge.
