Together Forever

In Together Forever, Zara arrives at a Lagos island apartment her boyfriend secured, only to find David already unpacking in the same unit after a landlord's double booking. A tense standoff settles into forced cohabitation mediated by a third party. David's friend Chris visits and takes an immediate interest in Zara. David angrily warns Chris away and later forbids Zara from interacting with his friends, and he asserts control over the shared space. The situation worsens when a female colleague accuses David of rape at a police station. David's girlfriend Sarah intervenes, testifies that nothing happened, and exposes the colleague's motive: jealousy over David's promotion. The accusation collapses, and David is released. Back at the apartment, Zara and David establish a rigid set of house rules to manage their forced cohabitation, and constant bickering follows over cleaning duties, personal boundaries, and a shared mop bucket. Zara lands a remote job, meaning she will be home more, to David's irritation. Then the landlord Uche informs them the estate management wants them evicted for nuisance. Complicating matters, David's uncle Timi arrives and demands the apartment back, and he reveals David has been subletting and has already spent the rent money. Facing eviction and his uncle's wrath, David begs Uche and Sarah to pose as legitimate tenants during an inspection. Uche proposes they live like ghosts to avoid detection. During the uncle's visit, David's deception nearly unravels, but Uche manages to deflect suspicion. Unexpectedly, Uche reveals that the prospective tenants who triggered the inspection have withdrawn, and he has won enough money through betting to cover the rent and pay off his uncle. The immediate crisis is averted, and the trio celebrates with wine. In the aftermath, the dynamic between Zara and David shifts.
