Anika and Desmond have a stable life with their daughter Sarah, but Tess covets their happiness. After her husband Justice divorces her, Tess hires Kesha to seduce Desmond using a love spell. Kesha stages an accident to meet Desmond, then begs for a job, which he gives her despite Anika's protests. The spell takes hold: Desmond grows distant, moves Kesha into the house, changes the locks, and physically assaults Anika. Devastated, Anika prays and seeks her mother's counsel, refusing to give up her marriage. Meanwhile, Tess's son Junior falls ill as the spell backfires. Kesha pushes Desmond to divorce Anika, but he wavers. During a fight, Desmond has a vision of Kesha attacking him and wakes screaming in his office, realizing he was bewitched. He rushes home, apologizes, and Anika forgives him after her fasting and prayers. Tess arrives, confessing her role, and begs for help as Junior suffers. Desmond orders her out; she collapses upon learning her son has died. Desmond and Anika embrace, their marriage restored, while Tess grieves her loss.
