The Mix Up
Savannah has one night to silence her cruel family’s mockery: find a fiancé or lose everything, including her dignity. In a parking lot she spots a gorgeous stranger by a sleek car, shoves cash in his hand, and begs him to pretend for one evening. He smiles, agrees, and steps into the lion’s den wearing a lie like a custom suit. What begins as the most desperate ruse of her life becomes the sweetest revenge nobody saw coming, because some secrets are richer than money, and some hearts refuse to stay rented.

Storyline
Savannah endures daily venom from her bankrupt father and his vicious wife and daughter, especially when spoiled Veronica parades her engagement to Savannah’s own ex, Tony. The final humiliation comes at Dad’s birthday gala: mocked for being single, Savannah learns she can’t touch her late mother’s fortune until she marries. In blind fury she storms outside, mistakes brooding, handsome Chad for hired staff, and pays him to play her fiancé. Chad, secretly billionaire CEO Chad Wells, finds her fire irresistible and says yes. He endures every insult with a smirk while the Lawsons call him “waiter,” “beggar,” and worse. Savannah even forces a prenup on him; he signs it unread, making her father gloat. Meanwhile her best friend Wunmi discovers Chad’s palace and billions, but he swears her to silence, wanting the mask to stay on a little longer. The reckoning explodes when the desperate Mr. Lawson drags the family to beg salvation from the reclusive head of Wells Enterprises. They walk into the boardroom and freeze: the man they degraded stands at the head of the table in a bespoke suit, city skyline behind him. Chad’s voice turns ice as he lists every cruelty they hurled when they thought he was nothing. Deal off. Company doomed. Veronica desperately flirts, Dad begs on his knees; Chad ignores them all. Then he turns to Savannah, drops to one knee for real this time, and tells her the fake engagement became the truest thing he’s ever felt. He admired how she fought, how she never broke. She keeps her inheritance, severs every tie with the family that bled her dry, and walks out hand-in-hand with the man who chose her when she thought she had nothing left to offer. From hired lie to forever love in one perfect, delicious twist.
