Promise Me December

In "Promise Me December," Teni, a photographer hurt by past relationships, meets famous musician Ayoola. They connect but don't exchange numbers at first. They later meet again, where Ayoola's jealous ex, Vanessa, confronts them. This makes Teni and Ayoola finally exchange contacts. They grow close, and Ayoola even finds new musical inspiration because of Teni. He confesses he likes her, and she asks to take things slow. Vanessa, a social media influencer, wants Ayoola back for their public image. She crashes Teni's photo exhibition to disgrace her, but Teni handles it well. Scared of the drama, Teni avoids Ayoola, which makes him very sad. His career is in danger as he refuses to perform at a key show. Teni's friends beg her to help, and she convinces him to perform, saving his career. They then officially start dating. Vanessa becomes furious. She goes live on social media and tells a huge lie. She falsely accuses Ayoola of making her have three abortions and then abandoning her for Teni. The news goes viral. Teni is heartbroken and believes the lie. She refuses to see Ayoola and returns the ring he gave her. Ayoola's music deals start getting cancelled because of the scandal. Ayoola confronts Vanessa and demands she tell the truth, but she refuses. Later, Vanessa finally confesses that her story was a complete lie. Teni realizes her mistake of not listening to Ayoola. She goes back to him, apologizes for not trusting him, and they reconcile. The movie ends with them together, having overcome the lies and scandal.
