Peace Or Refund

Shey, a wealthy man who nitpicks everything, berates his girlfriend Ella for sleeping late and using a spoon to butter bread, then insists they visit his sick father to fake an engagement. On the drive, Ella refuses to help a stranded woman, and their argument escalates until she storms out of the car, leaving Shey alone on the road. Stranded, he picks up a woman named Stacey and hires her for 500,000 naira to pose as his girlfriend for five days, a scheme that becomes the center of "Peace Or Refund." At his father's house, Stacey immediately charms the older man with affectionate prayers and dietary advice, while Shey grows irritated by her messy habits and constant pushback. Despite their bickering, Stacey forms a genuine bond with Shey's father, who privately admits to a relative that he suspects the relationship is fake. When Stacey receives a call about her mother's death, she breaks down, and Shey comforts her by sharing his own childhood loss, then sends her 1.3 million naira for burial expenses—far more than their arrangement. After she leaves, Shey realizes he has no way to contact her and grows restless, unable to stop thinking about her. He eventually gets her number from his father and calls; she appears at his door soon after. They confess their feelings and agree to start a relationship with conditions of mutual respect, and Shey also apologizes to his ex-girlfriend Ella. The film ends with Shey and Stacey embracing, transformed by their time together.
