Douglas, a Lagos lawyer, comes home late to find his wife Oluche waiting in a seductive new outfit bought at the market to rekindle their romance. Before she can finish, he announces he is taking a second wife because a woman named Joyce is pregnant. Oluche laughs it off as a lawyer's joke, but Douglas brings the visibly pregnant Joyce into their house as co-wife. Humiliated and furious, Oluche bars Joyce from the kitchen, and they quarrel over dinner and the gifts he gives them, a local bag for her and a designer one for Joyce. His sister Cynthia and his friend Marcus try to make peace, but the rivalry turns to slaps and shoving. Douglas calls a meeting to make peace, but it causes more explosions. Plans for his birthday turn violent when Joyce locks Oluche in a room after another argument, and Douglas cancels the celebrations in disgust. Cynthia secretly arranges a surprise party, and the wives seem to settle into a mock peace. Oluche discovers a condom wrapper in Douglas's pocket, and Joyce sees strange calls and messages on his phone. They gradually realize that Douglas is cheating on both of them with several other women and has never been faithful to either. Betrayed together, Oluche and Joyce set aside their jealousy and join forces against him. They leave a farewell letter saying they have sold off his properties and plan to leave the country, then pack their suitcases and drive away in his white Range Rover. Douglas reaches home to a silent house, finds the note, and tries their phones only to hear that the numbers are unreachable. Overwhelmed, he sinks onto the couch in despair.
