In the village of Nomofia a trivial market dispute over a vendor's goods ignites a clash between Adora and Nneoma that reveals a decades-old rivalry fracturing the local women's association. The sitting chairperson Uche announces her relocation abroad and calls for an election. Adora launches an aggressive campaign fueled by wealth and political connections and promises of material development. Nneoma counters with spiritual rhetoric and a refusal to engage in transactional politics. Their adult children Uzoma and Nena meet and fall in love, unaware that their mothers' enmity forbids any association between their families, creating a generational conflict that mirrors the past. As the election nears the rivalry spills into public brawls and heated confrontations at the association hall and spiritual warfare, with Nneoma spraying Holy Ghost fire to cleanse her home of Adora's perceived evil influence.
