Meet The Parents

Jina, a diligent office worker, inadvertently splashes water on Bolu while driving, soaking his clothes. After a strained exchange, she obtains his number from a mechanic and calls to apologize, leading to playful phone conversations and a first date at a sip-and-paint session. Their chemistry deepens, and Bolu meets Jina's mother, who is warm and supportive, though Jina avoids discussing her late father. The couple continues dating, growing closer over a year. Bolu proposes at an old house that holds Jina's childhood memories, gifting her the keys, and they plan a Christmas wedding. However, when Jina meets Bolu's parents, his mother Gloria erupts in fury, accusing Jina's mother of having an affair with Bolu's father decades ago and claiming Jina is Bolu's half-sister. Jina's mother later confesses: she was a secretary who had an affair with Bolu's father, became pregnant with Jina, and was forced to leave with the child. Devastated, Bolu demands a DNA test from his father. The results confirm Jina is indeed his father's biological daughter, but also reveal that Bolu is not his father's biological son — Gloria had an affair before marriage. Bolu's father kicks Gloria out, and Bolu, overwhelmed, disappears for four months, leaving everyone searching. Jina, while running an errand, drives instinctively to the old house she inherited from Bolu and finds him there. They argue but reconcile when Bolu professes his love and confirms they are not blood-related, making their relationship acceptable. He proposes again, and Jina accepts, embracing their future together.
