Manny My Man

Manny My Man tells the story of Manny, a strong and handsome man from a poor neighborhood. He studied Business Administration in university but could not find a good job. So, he works as a stripper and male escort to send money to his family in the village. One night, Manny sees Kendra, a rich woman, trying to kill herself by standing in the road. He pulls her away and saves her life. They go to a hotel, talk, and spend the night together. Next morning, Kendra leaves with a note and some money, calling herself a stranger. Kendra goes home but finds her house locked by the bank. Her ex-husband, Vincent Okeke, used it for a big loan of 150 million Naira and did not pay back. She loses everything and becomes homeless. She stays in hotels but runs out of money fast. Manny deals with Kupe, a girl in his area who likes him too much. She fights other girls and bothers him, but he sees her as just a neighbor. Then, Kendra comes back in a new SUV. She got her company, KI International, back. She gives Manny the car, keys to a new apartment, and a job in her company. Manny gets angry. He thinks she is paying him like for his escort job. He feels like a man should not take such gifts. He says no and walks away. Kendra runs after him. She cries and says her old marriage hurt her, so she thinks love needs money to feel safe. She did not mean to pay him; she just wanted to help like he helped her. She says she loves him and needs him. Manny understands her pain and forgives her. They get back together, plan to build the company and their life. The movie ends happy for them, but Kupe is sad and funny watching from far. Actors: Manny is played as a caring but proud guy. Kendra is shown as strong outside but broken inside. Kupe adds humor with her crazy love for Manny. The story shows themes of love, trust, and starting over after hard times.
