Storyline
Lovers & Foes begins with CEO Zam arriving from Dubai to a home rattled by her half-sister Angel's addiction. She dumps her cheating boyfriend and hires a driver named Charles who shows up in a suit, too qualified for the job. Snapping at him over cheap cologne and a handbag sets their dynamic. A cancerous spinal tumor then forces a halt—surgery is risky, and her stepmother sees an opportunity. With brother Tobore, greed tightens around Zam's hospital bed. Charles alone stands by her, driving her to appointments while the family circles. Angel, craving reckoning, reveals that Tobore is not Zam's full brother but the secret son of their stepmother's affair with a driver, shattering the family's already fractured bonds. Surgery succeeds, but Zam pretends the tumor stole her legs. Holed up at home, she weathers starvation and spite—her stepmother and Tobore badgering her to sign over everything. With Charles and Angel as quiet conspirators, she holds out. One morning, she rises from the wheelchair, walks across the room, and phones the police. The stepmother and Tobore are handcuffed as Charles steps forward, confessing love born in the chaos. Zam’s forgiveness reaches Angel, and she accepts Charles’s proposal. The ring slips onto her finger as the family fractures into new shapes. Tobore later seeks apology, and healing begins in fits. But the stepmother’s betrayal remains a scar, never fully closed.
