In Love In Progress a mother abroad pressures her son to return and marry a Nigerian woman. In Lagos Iye presents a hand drawn portrait to Mrs Omoh who prays for her prosperity. Mrs Omoh offers the master bedroom to Osas, Osi's cousin, for an upcoming exhibition and wedding. Iye juggles a shift cover conversation with her friend Kishi while her art gains traction. Osi buys a piece and encourages her to value it highly, and the sale funds a new phone for her aunt Yewande. Video calls and walks deepen their bond though Iye wrestles with insecurity about meeting Osas who hides his unemployment from his mother. Mrs Omoh and Auntie Ede intensify their matchmaking efforts toward a man abroad. Osas urges Iye to quit her job for art but she dismisses his advice as rhetoric because her recent earnings have vanished. Osi wears an orange shirt when he confronts Iye in a courtyard and demands to know her feelings after she accuses him of disclosing their relationship too soon. He confesses he has fallen in love with her and she quietly admits she feels the same. A startled cry from Aunty shatters the tender kiss between them. The dual revelations fracture the group's fragile stability and leave Osas guilt ridden and Iye emotionally exhausted. Later a night time phone call between Iye and Osas reveals a family compromise where an upset aunt will accept the situation if things return to normal in two days. Osas shifts focus to celebrating Iye's artistic breakthrough and playfully dubs her a celebrity painter while joking about autographing his chest for millions. Though initially resistant to the festivities Iye leans into his embrace and the pair exchange declarations of love.
