Licia stalks Donald through the city with a boldness that baffles him, showing up at his office, interrupting his meetings, and even hiring musicians to serenade him on his birthday. Donald tries to dismiss her, explaining that he already has a woman, but Licia insists he should end that relationship and choose her instead. His colleague advises ignoring her, hoping she will lose interest, while a woman who claims to be Donald's girlfriend lets herself into his bedroom only for Donald to reject her because she betrayed him. Intrigued by Licia's audacity, Donald eventually invites her home, and they spend the day cooking together, washing his car, and laughing in each other's company; he admits he genuinely enjoys her, and she tells him she took time off work to pursue him. They agree to meet again, but when Donald shows up at her home the next day, Licia pretends she has never seen him, throws water in his face, and threatens to slap him. Bewildered and hurt, Donald starts trailing Licia, using her own methods to get close, and her friends Preye and Prisca finally explain that Licia has a history of chasing men, winning them over, and then suddenly casting them away; they suggest she needs professional help. Together with a therapist, they arrange an intervention disguised as a regular meeting, and during the session Licia opens up about her father abandoning her mother and about Ken, the man she once planned to marry, who sent his new fiancée Stella to return her belongings and end the engagement through a message. She confesses that she believes love always ends in pain, and the therapist suggests she may be suffering from post-traumatic stress or philophobia; as her emotions spill out, Licia collapses, and when she wakes, Donald and Preye are beside her, begging her to release her past and allow herself to heal. Though Licia initially insists she is fine, she agrees to continue therapy.
