Falling For You

In Falling For You, Shaya knocks on his older neighbor Ashley's door and she calls it stalking. He tells the camera this is how it all started. He has returned from the United States to the family estate, surprising his mother and sister. On a jog he sees Ashley and introduces himself, but she brushes him off as a much younger man from another generation. He keeps showing up anyway. Family and friends warn him off, and Koko, a former flame, wants him back, but Shaya is not interested. Ashley's boyfriend Fred keeps missing plans and making excuses. On her birthday he stands her up, so Shaya arrives at her door with a gift. Hurt and drunk, Ashley kisses him. She tells a friend she cannot remember and calls it bad choices. Fred returns with apologies and an iPhone 14, but Ashley is done. Shaya and Ashley share a candlelit dinner, dancing, and a night together. Shaya's mother pushes him to take a job in Abuja, and Ashley hears Koko calling Shaya her man. Ashley pushes Shaya away, saying she should find someone her own age. After they drift apart, Ashley learns she is pregnant. Fearing people will think she trapped a younger man, she hides it until an aunt-figure convinces her to tell him. Shaya confronts her and reminds her he took the job in Abuja because she pushed him away. Admitting he could not concentrate without her, Shaya says he loves her and asks to raise their child. They go to his mother, who says marriage must wait until Shaya is financially stable. She gives the plan goodwill. Friends throw a surprise baby shower, and Shaya toasts Ashley as the strongest woman he knows. Confetti announces a girl, and Shaya and Ashley name their daughter Zoey.
