Closer Apart

Abigail's mother dies, and an unsympathetic landlord evicts her before she can gather rent. She searches for work and is rejected from a lounge and a construction site before a foreman hires her to carry blocks for a meager daily wage. Exhausted and homeless, she takes shelter in an uncompleted building. In Closer Apart, George returns home to a warm welcome from his mother and his girlfriend Ruby. The conflict peaks when George's mother walks in on a tender moment between George and Abigail in his bedroom.
