Alakada Gen-Z

In "Alakada: Genz", we meet a family with a difficult past. An old grandpa tells his granddaughters the story of their family name, Animasahun. He explains why their mother was named Yetunde. He says he accepted her and her children even though they have different fathers. Yetunde lives in Shagamu. She sells fufu with her mother and life is very hard. She complains to her boyfriend Kazeem. She wants a rich and easy life like her friend Oyin who lives in Lagos. Kazeem shows her his savings of 12.5 million Naira from construction work. He wants to save 50 million so they can start a good life together. But Yetunde is not patient. She steals all his money and runs to Lagos. She joins Oyin and her friend Angel. But soon she learns they are all faking their rich lives. They use fake accents, rent expensive cars, and lie about their families. Yetunde joins the lie. She even pretends to know big politicians. Back home, Kazeem finds his money gone. He brings police to arrest Yetunde's mother and grandpa. Her mother must pay back the money slowly. When the mother finds Yetunde in Lagos, Yetunde is ashamed. She calls her own mother a beggar and sends her away. Then Kazeem kidnaps Yetunde. He ties her to a chair and calls her mother. At first he asks for 100 million Naira. Then he reveals who he is. He laughs and reminds Yetunde how she denied her own family. The screen says "THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING." Yetunde's fate is unknown.
