A Letter Of Love

Laura moves into a gated complex and clashes with Grant over the shared driveway, his aggression rooted in a past trauma where his fiancée cheated with his best friend and he fell down stairs injuring his leg. Meanwhile Pedro, Laura's boyfriend of five years, returns from abroad expressing his desire to start a family. Complications arise when Laura discovers her new home-care client is Grant, leading to a tense session where he insults her competence and she demands he move his car. Grant, consumed by bitterness, writes an anonymous letter titled "A Letter of Love" warning Laura that Pedro and her best friend Oge are having an affair. He enlists gatekeeper Basil to deliver it with instructions to claim it came from a dispatch rider. Laura receives the letter and reads the devastating accusation. She spirals into despair. Oge dismisses the claim when Laura confides in her, but Laura's suspicion grows. She devises a plan to get Pedro drunk on tequila to extract the truth. Grant begins to soften toward her, helping her when his leg gives out and sharing his traumatic past over breakfast. At a dinner gathering with Pedro and Oge, Laura confronts them with the letter's allegations. Oge initially deflects, but Laura presses, revealing she knows about "Beauty" the pet name Oge used for Pedro. The confrontation turns explosive as Laura orders them out of her house. Oge attacks Pedro and a chaotic chase ensues in the driveway where Oge falls. A passing driver assists her. Pedro watches. Grant arrives, protective and furious, asserting his claim over Laura as his wife. The betrayal is confirmed, shattering Laura's five-year relationship and her friendship. In the aftermath Grant comforts a heartbroken Laura on her sofa and gifts her a necklace bearing the pendant "A Letter of Love." He confesses he wrote the anonymous note to save her from a lie.
