Her daughter Ada, tied to Ibuka by a complicated past, adds emotional depth to the drama as old wounds resurface in the midst of daily quarrels. The film captures the intensity of communal living—arguments over rent, gossip that fuels mistrust, and the crushing reality of poverty that that magnifies every dispute. Yet, beneath the chaos, moments of solidarity and humor emerge, showing the resilience of people bound together by circumstance.
