My Proud Boss

Amoge is secretary to Natasha, a proud businesswoman who scolds her for her clothes, deducts her salary, forbids office visitors, and makes her send away a friend. Away from work, Amoge's boyfriend Solomon pressures her for money and threatens to break up if she does not send it. Her friend Lala warns that Solomon is using her, but Amoge insists he is unlike other men. Natasha's boyfriend Terry touches Amoge's shoulder in a moment of kindness, and Natasha, jealous, later calls Amoge to her home, where Amoge washes clothes, cooks, and stands near the couple while they eat. Amoge leaves without transport money. Amoge catches Solomon on the phone with another woman. He admits that he has a wife and a child and that he only wanted her money, and he leaves. She arrives late to the office, and after Natasha scolds her, Amoge quits. At home she wallows, and Lala lends her money and drags her to the market, where they meet neighbor Basil. Terry, who pressed Natasha for help with an investment and raised the subject of collateral, empties her bank accounts and sells her properties, leaving her company taken and her house locked. Natasha calls Amoge for shelter, and Amoge makes her former boss wash clothes and clean the yard. When Natasha says the room is too small and asks for air conditioning, Amoge hands her a small fan and calls it her handmade AC. Another argument leaves Natasha sitting outside at night, and Basil offers her a place to stay. Amoge's anger softens, and she lets Natasha remain. Natasha apologizes for the wickedness she showed Amoge and admits she was wrong. Amoge says she briefly considered revenge and chose forgiveness. Natasha's lawyer calls to say Terry has been arrested and all her properties, including the company, have been recovered. Grateful and overwhelmed, Natasha names Amoge the new general manager, and Amoge rises from secretary to manager. The two women laugh together.
