My Foreign Asset

The movie "My Foreign Asset" follows Uzordike, a Nigerian man who brings his foreign wife Annabel to live in Nigeria with his mother, Mama. From day one, Mama criticizes Annabel for not greeting her properly, not cleaning well, and not cooking traditional food. Mama believes Annabel is not a good wife for her son. To fix this, Mama brings in a young woman named Amara as a helper and secretly trains her to be the perfect traditional wife. The situation turns dangerous when Annabel eats a meal and falls very ill. At the hospital, doctors discover she was poisoned. Uzordike confronts Amara, who admits she did it on purpose to replace Annabel, encouraged by Mama. Later, Annabel reveals she is pregnant. This news changes everything. Mama becomes happy and finally accepts Annabel. In the end, Annabel starts learning Igbo customs, sweeping, and cooking traditional meals while Mama teaches her with pride. The expected baby brings peace and bridges the cultural gap between the foreign wife and the Nigerian family.
