Kieran is a reality TV star who gets a surprise call from his cousin Anushka, who lives in London. She tells him she is coming to Durban to marry the love of her life and gives him just three weeks to plan her big, fat wedding. There is one big problem: nobody has ever met the groom. Kieran works hard to plan a perfect Indian wedding and hopes to fix his bond with his cousin. But everything changes when he finds out the groom is not Indian. At the wedding events, a big secret from the past comes out. Kieran must make a very difficult choice that could break his cousin's heart or destroy their family relationship forever. Storyline
Kieran, a Durban reality TV star, must plan a huge wedding in three weeks for his cousin Anushka, who is marrying a man no one has met. Kieran plans an elaborate Indian wedding, but is shocked to learn the groom, Jabulani "Jay" Zulu, is a Zulu man, making it an interracial marriage. The real drama starts at the mehndi ceremony when Kieran meets Jay and recognizes him. Jay is someone from Kieran's own past who caused him great pain and heartbreak. Kieran is devastated. He now faces an impossible choice: stay quiet and let Anushka marry a man he knows will hurt her, or tell the truth and ruin her wedding, which would also end his relationship with his cousin forever. The film is a heartfelt comedy-drama inspired by the director's real experience hearing a similar love story. It stars Theshen Naicker (who also wrote and directed it), Kajal Maharaj as Anushka, and Rashid Mlongo as Jay
