Biography
EARLY LIFE
Theshen Naicker was born around 1986 (age 39 as of November 2025) in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, and raised in the close-knit Kenville community. Of South African Indian descent with Tamilian cultural influences, he was primarily raised by his maternal grandparents, who instilled strong values; his grandmother, who passed away in 2016, had the greatest impact—teaching him jokes, reading, writing, singing, Tamil language, and religious songs. His father, Jeeva Naicker, was a singer in the 1980s–1990s band Anbu Entertainers, encouraging performance from a young age, including a dance drama audition at age 9. Naicker attended Kenville Primary School (where he landed early comedic roles) and Dr AD Lazarus Secondary School, facing significant bullying for his effeminate traits and appearance, which he endured silently.
PERSONAL LIFE
Theshen Naicker is openly gay, coming out to his parents at age 18 after pausing acting during adolescence due to puberty and sexuality struggles; his family has been supportive. No confirmed details on a husband, partner, or children as of 2025, though social media rumors occasionally surface. Now residing in Musgrave, Durban, he maintains strong community ties from his Kenville upbringing.
