Love Treaty

Love Treaty follows best friends Dayo and Tenni after their painful breakups. To stop his family's constant marriage pressure, Dayo panics and tells them he is engaged to Tenni. She agrees to pretend, but only if they make it official with a legal contract—a "Love Treaty." The rules are strict: the fake marriage lasts one year, and breaking it costs 5 million Naira, unless they find their true soulmate. The lie forces them to live together and act like a couple. During a tense encounter with their exes, they share a kiss that feels shockingly real. Dayo confesses he has loved Tenni for years, but she pushes him away, scared to ruin their friendship. They sign the treaty to protect themselves. Their fake life gets messy. Tenni's charming colleague, James, pursues her, making Dayo jealous. Their high school rival, Queen, discovers their secret and blackmails them, threatening to expose the lie to Dayo's family. Cornered and tired of hiding, Tenni has a sudden change of heart. In front of Queen, she declares Dayo is her soulmate and kisses him for real, ending the blackmail. Alone together, all pretenses fall. Tenni admits she loves Dayo too, and they both realize their feelings were always real. The fake marriage was the push they needed to stop being afraid. The movie ends with them embracing as a real couple, ready to begin their true life together as husband and wife.
