Love In Overdrive

The story in the movie Love In Overdrive is about Chisom and Fabian. Fabian's love is very protective but it feels like a cage to Chisom. He panics from a mild cough and googles pregnancy issues. He controls her orders on a double date and guards the restroom. He stares at her sleep at night. She vents to friend Bisola about feeling smothered. Her apartment floods so she moves in with him. The hospital visit shows she is pregnant. Fabian is happy and proposes but she deflects. His habits worsen with diet spreadsheets, ankle measuring and banning heels and junk food. Chisom snaps saying it feels like witness protection not care. She demands space. The flashback reveals Fabian's trauma: as teen he failed to protect his sister from kidnapping. His father threatened him badly. The sister is Bisola. This fear makes him control everything. Fabian confesses to Chisom and promises to change for her freedom. Months later a pregnant Chisom signals it is birth time. They head to hospital with a healed balanced relationship.
