Kafaya Faya

Kafaya runs a tailor shop in Lagos, and Kola visits it to collect his wife Esther's dress. Kola and Esther have spent eight years without a child, and his mother pressures him to leave Esther for a decent girl. Kola swears he loves Esther, but he begins an affair with Kafaya. When Kafaya becomes pregnant, Kola's mother insists that Kafaya be brought into his home to protect the unborn child. Esther overhears Kola and his mother discussing the pregnancy and is devastated. Kafaya moves in and clashes with Esther, flaunting her pregnancy and mocking the household. Unable to stand the humiliation, Esther leaves to stay with her friend Ella. At Ella's house, Esther learns she is pregnant, a miracle she thought impossible, and Ella convinces her that the baby is a consolation for her suffering. Kafaya's behavior spirals out of control. She storms Kola's office, slaps a business associate, and destroys a major business deal. Back home, Kafaya loses her pregnancy, and Kola's mother, who had only tolerated her because of the baby, declares the relationship over. Kafaya is cast out, leaving Kola to face the ruin he has brought upon himself. Months later, Kola searches for Esther, refusing to give up, and finally locates her at Ella's house. He pleads for forgiveness, admitting the pain he caused her, and brings a gift for the baby. Esther, cautious but softening, tells him the child is his and asks if he wants to meet his son. Kola is overjoyed, and the two share a fragile moment.
