In this untold Nigerian drama, Ukeriah, now married to a wealthy man abroad, resents her strict upbringing and invites her mother and elder sister Doris from the village to serve as maids in her Lagos home. Meanwhile, Doris finds unexpected love with Golibe, sparking jealousy and family tensions as secrets, financial woes, and longings for connection unravel their fragile bonds.
Storyline
Ukeriahmarries a rich Malaysian businessman and settles in Lagos while he stays abroad. Yearning for his rare calls and intimacy, she consoles herself with his money transfers. Resentful, she summons her mother and sister Doris from the village to work as maids, treating them like servants—belittling Doris relentlessly and boasting of her wealth to oppress them. Doris meets Golibe; their friendship blossoms into love. Golibe credits Doris for his luck, landing a job after failed interviews delighting their mother but enraging Ukeriah. When Golibe secures a visa abroad, their mother urges secrecy from Ukeriah. As Golibe's visits cease, Ukeriah mocks Doris, assuming abandonment. Suddenly, Ukeriah's husband halts remittances, leaving her broke. Doris, using savings Golibe sends, quietly supports the household—including feeding Ukeriah and her family. Touched yet scheming, Ukeriah feigns kindness to probe Doris's benefactor, plotting to sabotage the romance.
