Storyline

Stephanie watches her daughter Mira practice her cultural dance alone, heartbreak etched on the girl's face after her father Lekan fails to show for school events. Desperate to fill the void, Stephanie spots Zino, a gentle man reading in a park, and offers him money to pretend to be Mira's father. Zino agrees, and soon he is cheering at school plays and braiding hair for cultural day, laughter blooming where tears once lived. Lekan, hearing rumors of this imposter, storms into Stephanie's home, demanding Zino disappear. Mira steps between them, shouting that Zino is more of a father than Lekan ever was. The confrontation leaves Stephanie torn between financial reality and her growing feelings for Zino. She confesses she can no longer afford to pay him, but Zino reveals he has sold inherited land, becoming wealthy, and admits he loves her. Mira, sensing her mother's fear, feigns a fever to bring them together. When Zino rushes over, Mira jumps from the bed, declaring her trick and begging them to talk. Stephanie admits her love accepts his proposal, and Mira wraps her arms around both, calling Zino 'Dad' for the first time. The three embrace in the kitchen, a new family forged from longing and second chances.
