Domestic War

Rolake, a Yoruba maid, constantly disobeys her madam, Kate, by doing things her grandmother's way, like using too much pepper in food. After Rolake ruins Kate's clothes with a charcoal iron, Kate fires her. She hires Ijeoma, an Igbo jobseeker pressured by her mother into prostitution. Ijeoma is grateful but soon misbehaves, using Kate's makeup, sleeping on her bed, and even stealing groceries and clothes to sell. Meanwhile, Rolake waits outside, begging for forgiveness until a remorseful Kate hires her back, making both maids work together with a warning. They immediately sabotage each other's cooking, adding too much salt or pepper, and fight constantly. When Kate's son, Roland, returns from overseas, both women try to seduce him, but he rejects them. They independently decide to use love charms on him. On the same day, Ijeoma hides a charm with Roland's picture under his bed. As she hides in the bathroom, she sees Rolake enter the room to place her own charm. Rolake finds Ijeoma's hidden charm and screams in shock. The noise brings Kate and Roland, who catch both women red-handed. With their schemes fully exposed, Kate has no choice, and the movie ends with both Ijeoma and Rolake being sacked and thrown out of the house for good.
