Do You Wanna Japa

Ndidiamaka, an American citizen, runs the Japa Bureau travel agency in Lagos and takes pride in how her office presents itself. In Do You Wanna Japa, she coaches Miss Ndidi on handling clients, and she tells the employee to announce that the 9:30 appointment is waiting. Mr. Jude, the first client, arrives hoping to relocate, and Ndidiamaka lectures him about leaving Nigeria while promising that the agency will manage the paperwork. Later, Ndidiamaka calls her friend Lulu to bring her into the business. Lulu refuses, noting that Ndidiamaka once fled the country and calling the whole venture shady. Japa Bureau continues to draw eager clients, and the failures begin to pile up. Married couple Cecilia and Chugo are overjoyed about their travel plans, but the mood sours when Ndidiamaka tells them to split up in America and marry locals to fast-track their visas. Cecilia rejects the idea in anger. Chugo seems open to the split. A woman who has chosen celibacy is asked to pay a three million naira deposit. Ability, a young man who calls himself a tech pro, is insulted by the office receptionist about his dressing. Beatrice, the spiritually minded assistant, walks around the office spraying holy water and casting out demons. People who feel cheated demand refunds. Cecilia's sister and brother-in-law arrive to accuse Ndidiamaka of trying to wreck the marriage, and they demand their money back. Mr. Saolu, an angry client, then threatens to have Ndidiamaka arrested. The danger grows when Mr. Saolu's threat is followed by a man with a gun carrying a list of everyone she has scammed, and a police officer is waiting to apprehend her. Ndidiamaka climbs over a brick wall and runs down the street. Jude spots her from his car, and he urges her to jump in because he will not let her be arrested while his visa is tied to her. Inside the car, she thanks him. His answer is cold: he paid ten million naira for the visa.
