Caro

At a Lagos residence, Caro works as a housemaid, singing as she cooks and scrubs laundry. She trades friendly insults with Bianca, her co-worker. Caro's employer juggles a string of women. He returns home with a date and orders Caro to clear the woman out before the next guest arrives. Caro becomes involved with the boss and finds herself pregnant. She shows him the test and insists that custom requires him to marry her. She moves into his house as his wife. Bianca has also slept with the boss. She claims she is pregnant too, and the two women fight for the head-wife position. The boss refuses to call himself married and announces that a DNA test will decide paternity. Months later, Caro and Bianca are still pregnant and trapped under one roof with the boss. Their disputes grow into threats and physical scuffles, including accusations of poisoning. A voicenote reveals that Bianca lied about the father of her baby, so the boss throws Bianca out. Caro drinks a poisoned glass of juice and miscarries. After the miscarriage, Caro tells the boss she no longer sees him as a husband. She calls him a good person but says he lacks self-control, cannot refuse women, and is not the God-fearing man she needs. Caro packs her bags and tells him she will return to school and work with a true professional. She leaves the household behind.
