Biography

EARLY LIFE

Mary Lazarus hails from Abia State, Nigeria, specifically Ukwa East Local Government Area. She was born into a family of nine consisting of her parents and six siblings. She is a twin and one of the last born children alongside her twin brother Joseph. She obtained her First School Leaving Certificate and West African Senior School Certificate Examination after primary and secondary education. She was admitted to the University of Ibadan where she studied Geography and graduated with a B.Sc. degree with a 4.4 cumulative grade point average.

CAREER

Lazarus debuted as a model in 2002 before venturing into Nollywood in 2009 with the movie 'Waiting Years' through an introduction by Gbenro Ajibade to director John Njamah. She made her directorial debut with 'Dance To My Beat' in 2017, which she also produced. She has appeared in commercials for Airtel and MTN.

PERSONAL LIFE

Lazarus comes from a family of nine and is one of the lastborn children alongside her twin brother. She has described herself as a fun-loving person. She is unmarried.
