EARLY LIFE

Cassandra Odita is the youngest of seven children, all females. She is from Ibusa in Delta State but was born in Funtua, Katsina State. Her mother was a well-known baker. She completed her primary education at Aunty Ayo International School in Obalende, Lagos, secondary education at Hussey College, Warri, and studied Theatre Arts at the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) in Ife, Osun State. She initially aspired to be a doctor.

CAREER

Cassandra Odita was discovered by Sam Loco while working with NTA Benin in the 1980s. Her debut movie in Nollywood was 'Price of Hatred,' shot in 2004. She gained fame for her role as Mama Omoye in the 'Super Story' series 'Omoye'. She has featured in numerous movies and TV shows, including 'Super Story' series and 'Jenifa’s Diary', and is known for playing motherly roles. She is also known for her roles in 'Yahoo Millionaire' (2007), 'Lugard' (2021), and 'Kajola' (2010). She envisions herself becoming a prominent producer on Netflix and reaching the peak of her career, potentially in Hollywood.

PERSONAL LIFE

Cassandra Odita got married in 1992 while working at NTA Ibadan. She met her husband in Jos. Seven years into their marriage, she lost him to a fatal accident. They had two children, a son and a daughter. After her husband's passing, she returned to Lagos and resumed her acting career, motivated to provide her children with a good education.
