Biography
EARLY LIFE
Born in Nsukka, Enugu State, Nigeria, Kenneth Okonkwo attended the University of Nigeria Nsukka where he earned degrees in Business Administration and Law (LLB), followed by a Master's in International Law and Diplomacy. He also studied theology at the Nigerian Bible School.
CAREER
Okonkwo began his acting career in the early 1990s with his iconic role as Andy Okeke in Living in Bondage. He has since appeared in over 100 films and videos, earning recognition including the Africa Movie Academy Award for Special Recognition of Pillars of Nollywood in 2013. He later entered politics, serving as a spokesperson for the Labour Party's presidential campaign in 2022 before exiting the party in 2025.
PERSONAL LIFE
Okonkwo was first married to Ogechi Ezekiel (daughter of Pastor Ezekiel of Christian Pentecostal Mission International) in 2000, with whom he had a son, Ifeanyi, before divorcing in 2002. He remarried Ifeoma Okonkwo in 2007, with whom he shares a son, Kenechukwu Isaac Chukwuchirimeza Okonkwo.
