Sunny Collins

Chief Sunny Collins Nwatu is a legendary Nigerian filmmaker, writer, and the CEO of Great Movies Industries Limited, known for producing some of classic Nollywood's biggest hits. While less visible on camera, his production house shaped the golden era of Nigerian cinema in the late 1990s and early 2000s. He financed and oversaw definitive genre classics like Witches (1998), Scores to Settle, Billionaires Club, Suicide Mission, Ijele, and World Apart. He penned the scripts for highly regarded dramas, including Onye Eze, Arusi Iyi, and Sister Mary. He occasionally stepped in front of the camera for minor roles, appearing as Odekwu in Christ in Me (2003) and as a doctor in Mothering Sunday (2001).
